East Coast Evo is a baseball player development business established by Carson Cross and Logan Carman in 2020. The two of them began training athletes locally in New Hampshire in 2017 and, eventually, were able to combine forces to promote a more holistic approach to player development that includes strength and skill acquisition. Prior to teaming up professionally, they trained together during their college and high school years. Both played in the NECBL as well as the Cape Cod Baseball League. Both went on to be All-Americans at their respective universities.
After his playing career as a LHP, Carman went on to be the pitching coach at his alma mater, the University of Southern Maine, for three seasons before making the full-time move to strength and conditioning. Logan has his C.S.C.S. and is always focused on continuing his education as a coach.
Cross was a RHP at UConn where he was drafted in both 2013 and 2015. He spent two years playing minor league baseball with the St Louis Cardinals before making the transition to minor league pitching coach with the Milwaukee Brewers for three seasons. Since 2017, Cross and Carman have pulled from their personal and professional experience to help over 150 players find success in their careers at the high school, college, and professional levels.
What is our Mission Statement?
The main focus of our business is providing athletes with data-driven player development plans that are tailored to their individual needs and make-up, no matter their age or skill level. From 11 year olds to MLB players we take an individualized approach to training with the main focus being on athletic development. Our athletes have gone on to play at Power 5 Schools as well as within the ranks of Professional Baseball. We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive training environment where all athletes feel welcome no matter their skill level.
Whether you come to us as an experienced MLB player or a youth athlete just getting started—or anything in-between—we have a plan in place to make you better based on YOU. We are continuously looking to evolve our skill set as coaches, and our staff members are constantly challenged to expand their knowledge with an emphasis on growth mindset. If we don't know the answer to something we will be honest with you and make sure to do some of our own research before we come back to you with our advice and opinions. We are very invested in making sure our athletes understand the why behind what they are doing so they can be fully committed to the process.
